Self-service Kayak Rental - Bjørvika, Oslo (Summer and Winter)

From NOK NOK199.00
  • Location: Oslo, Oslo
  • Product code: kayak_rental_bjørvika

Safety:

  • You must have prior kayaking experience before renting a kayak from Mad Goats. You must know how to rescue yourself and others. If you do not know how to perform a kayak rescue, then we ask you not to rent a kayak, and instead sign up for our 2.5-hour beginner kayak (våttkort) course where you will learn the basic kayak rescues and paddle techniques to keep you safe and happy on the water. If you have no experience and just and just want to get out paddling, then we recommend you join on one of our kayaking tours in central Oslo - you can book those here.
  • You must own your own drysuit when paddling during the winter months November - March.
  • If you are renting a kayak during winter (November - March) you must know how to rescue yourself and others, always paddle with at least one other person, and have at least 2 years kayak experience, a Norwegian våttkort, or equivalent kayak qualification: Svensk or Euro Paddle Pass, or other similar kayak course certificate.
  • Wear clothing appropriate to the days weather conditions, always paddle in conditions related to your skills and always check the weather before you go kayaking. If it is cold/rainy we recommend wearing woollen thermal underwear, a warm jacket/jersey, and wet weather gear. Take water, sunscreen, and sun glasses.
