Accommodation:
At our paddling base in Nedre Heidal, we have camping/hammock/camper-van overnight options and a sauna and hot tub, toilet/kitchen facilities, and access to electricity. If you want to sleep in a cabin/room and not in a tent/hammock, then we recommend staying at the beautiful and cosy Faukstad Farmstead, which is just across the road, The Banken Cabin and Campsite in Heidal, or the historic Heart Break Hotel only a short 10 minute walk from our base.
What to Expect:
Experience the wow factor and breathtaking views of Nordic nature while paddling the world famous Sjoa River - a river steeped in history as far back as the viking age! Experience splashed and fun on the whitewater rapids while still being able to relax and enjoy the view. Depending on the flow and group you will get the chance to surf, swim and even flip, under the guidance of our experienced river guides. After the adventure, relax with a warm beverage and take advantage of our facilities to freshen up.
